Implements of Warfare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The storehouse also housed the nation\u2019s weapons: words, shields, spears, and strategic implements were stored and maintained, ready for the season of battle. Every nation preserves an armoury to safeguard its people and assert readiness. Recently, the world saw Beijing reveal its state-of-the-art armoury\u2014hypersonic missiles, drones, tanks, and precision weapons\u2014signalling their readiness for war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the New Covenant, Christ Himself is our ultimate weapon of warfare\u2014our Battle Ax. He defeated Satan, disarming principalities and powers and making a public spectacle of them (Col 2:15). Christ does not merely give us armour; He is<\/em>the armour. He personifies the whole armour of God in Ephesians 6\u2014He is our Truth, our Righteousness, our Peace, our Faith, our Salvation, and the Living Word.  To be clothed with Christ is to be fully armed, positioned not in self-defence, but in victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We live in a war zone.  We must be vigilant (1 Pet 5:8). The devices of the devil are real, and we must not be ignorant of them (2 Cor 2:11).  Spiritual fathers train us to wrestle in the Spirit, teaching us to find the enemy\u2019s weak points and stand firm. Our warfare is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual hosts of wickedness in heavenly places (2 Cor 10:4\u20136, 12). We must be conscious of demonic activity in  the background.  Nehemiah mobilised builders to carry a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other (Neh 4:17), demonstrating vigilance to deal with the enemy! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apostolic fathers are storehouses preparing sons for the battles they will face. They provide the right armour and weapons.  Saul\u2019s armour could not serve David (1 Sam 17:38-39). David\u2019s was superior and specifically engineered for victory over the gigantic enemies of the nation. God is presently rebuilding the tabernacle of David (Acts 15:16).  This is the nature of apostolic grace seen in the pattern of David.  He ruled in the midst of all his enemies (2 Sam 7:1). David\u2019s mighty men of valour were trained for battle and experts with their weapons (1 Chron 12). They were ambidextrous\u2013they were trained to fight with both hands. This require wisdom in the sacred and the secular. Apostolic fathers train their sons to be highly skilled with the double edged sword\u2013the Spirit-filled Word of God.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fathers and sons are constantly under attack to prevent the mobilisation of the Kingdom.  But the gates of hell cannot prevail against such a storehouse.  Jesus said to Peter that Satan desires him (Luk 22:31); this after Peter\u2019s divine revelation about the Son of God.  Flesh and blood cannot reveal these truths to you (Matt 16:18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building and supporting the storehouse is an act of warfare\u2014it fuels the armoury of the house.  When the storehouse is full, God rebukes the devourer\u2014every force sent to consume, destroy, and dismantle Kingdom progress, whether through false doctrine, accusation, fear, or generational attack. And as we face the enemy, we can declare, \u201cIt is written\u201d (Matt 4), standing in authority with instruments designed by God Himself for our victory!  No weapon formed against you shall prosper!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malachi 3:11  And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes…<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
