Reasons for Failure – Part 9

The independent spirit of Moab led to its destruction.  Isaiah compares Moab to high, fortified walls (Isaiah 25:12), symbolising isolation and self-reliance. “Moab” means “what father,” representing an orphan spirit.

There is one reason that cause more setback in our lives than anything else, and that is negativity.  Negativity is a destructive force that can undermine your faith, derail purpose, and disrupt God’s plans for your life. 

Satan’s ultimate aim is to target those who are establishing God’s purpose, particularly those who carry His vision. He is constantly looking for an accusation and seeking someone to devour. Therefore, we must be aware of his devices. 

Many of us have been victims of another gospel that puts the focus on Heaven instead of Christ.  Now we are very privileged to have been established in present-day truth. In the midst of a highly doctrinal and revelational reformation, we must protect ourselves from any kind of mixture.  

When you stand apart or shift away from grace you have made an inaccurate turn and it may cost you greatly. This is called “dissension” and “sedition”.  The Greek word is dichostasia, which means to stand apart. 

Failure is very often a result of defiance to God’s commands, as well as reluctance to align with His appointed leaders.  

We are often faced with  a crisis to commit to one specific table – fellowship or spiritual family where the Word of God is shared.  The table is a place of nourishment and covenant.  God is highly covenantal.   When we are not sensitive to His priority to covenant we may find ourselves unfruitful in the Kingdom.
